The Clermont County Municipal Court has jurisdiction over misdemeanor criminal offenses and civil actions where the amount in controversy is $15,000 or less. The Court’s criminal docket primarily consists of traffic offenses, thefts, assaults, domestic violence, OVIs, and drug offenses charged as misdemeanors. The majority of the Court’s civil docket consists of evictions, small claims cases, and collections on delinquent accounts.
The Court consists of three full-time judges who are elected to six-year terms on a non-partisan ballot. To be eligible to be elected or appointed as a judge of the Court, a person must be a resident of Clermont County and an attorney with at least six years of experience in the practice of law. The Judges and their dedicated staff strive to administer justice fairly, impartially, and expeditiously at all times.

Probate Court—deals with wills, estates, and trusts, adult guardianships, name changes, civil commitments, adoptions, issues marriage licenses.
Probation
The Clermont County Municipal Court Adult Probation Department was established in 1992 and provides probation services to offenders in Clermont County.
The Municipal Adult Probation Department is located in the Municipal Courthouse at 4430 OH-222, Batavia, OH 45103. The Municipal Adult Probation Department provides services to misdemeanor cases.
Hours of operation for Municipal Adult Probation are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday except legal holidays.

Random Toxicology Testing:
Call (513) 732-8000 daily after 7:00 am to check the “color of the day”. If your color is selected for that day, you must report between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to submit to a drug and/or alcohol test on that same day. Screens will not be collected between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.
